Secrets and weddings and a little Twilight thrown in

there is only just a blurb about Twilight in this entry. The rest of the blog details my day...

Mark went to get our pizza sub at the local pizza place last night. He called on the way back and says "so are you soley responsible for everyone in this town being obsessed with Twilight?" (well, yeah, I sorta am) My cousin works at the pizza place and started talking to Mark about the book then the owner chimed in and they had a 5 minute discussion about it....I think it's great!

Anyway...
Today Mark and I went to Paducah for a friend's wedding. The wedding wasn't until 7 so we went on up early to plunder around the town some. Mark found out that the Postsecret exhibit was going on at one of the art centers down town. I love postsecret so I had to go! We werent allowed to take pictures in there, but the exhibit was cool. We also went into a comic book store. Mark found the graphic novel that Wanted was based on and I got some multi-sided die that I plan to somehow use in my math class.

We ate at a little Mexican place called Tribeca. I ordered the Tribeca burrito. That thing was HUGE! I ate maybe half. The waiter stopped by at one point and said, "That's a huge burrito, isn't it? I guess I should have warned you." I'd say!

The wedding was outside, which really isnt fun during the humid days of summer....but it was a short, sweet wedding. We left right before they cut the cake (long drive home, didn't want to wait any longer) I love wedding cake so I was disappointed I missed out. (insert long dramatic sigh)

When we got home we discovered that the cat had pooped in the middle of the little bathroom floor. She was mad at us for keeping her in while we were gone and mad that her litter wasn't pristinely new. I hope I don't discover that she has peed somewhere in the house...
I'm tired and need to go to bed, but I had a frappucino type drink on the way home and I forgot to ask for one with low sugar.....

I can ride my bike with no handebars, no handlebars

well, I can't really ride a bike with no handlebars, but I DO have a new bike!

*Squeak!*

I have been on the lookout for a bike for a while now but didn't know what to get, blah blah blah. So I asked a coworker who bikes. She suggested against Wal-Mart since they usually don't have high quality bikes (or anything else for that matter). The only problem is that there are no bike shops close by. When Mark & I went to Murfreesboro for a wedding a month ago we found a bike shop close to where the wedding took place so we went in to look around.

The guy who helped us that day, Jeremy, was super nice. He didn't treat us like idiots as we asked all kinds of questions. He is going to college on a biking scholarship and is on the competitive mountain bike team (didn't know a thing existed) and he was so knowedgable about anything we asked. Since we wouldnt be able get the bikes home then we told him we'd come back when we could.

When we came in this time I was glad to see Jeremy again and he remembered us. He let us take the bikes for a test ride around the block. This is my bike- except in white and green:

My rump is going to have to get used to the saddle, but I bought some padded bike shorts. They feel really weird on because of the extra bulk but I think my rear end will thank me in the long run. My bike has the regular platform pedals. I don't feel confident enough for the clipless ones yet. I'm afraid I'll kill myself by forgetting my foot is attached to the pedal when I stop. And we added a water bottle holder (called a cage). OH, and I got a bike helmet. (I rather like my brain and don't prefer it to be damaged)

I'm excited. If you see me, or as Kari calls me-the safe dork- riding around the neighborhood, please don't run me over.
